Plast

Plast is a two-component yarn with a highly elastic core. It consists of a core and a cotton cover. The core must have different properties than the cover which coats the core. The technical challenge is thus to manufacture a homogenous material with optimum elasticity. This requires corresponding know-how and the latest production technology.

Plast is used for the production of cord fabrics for tire manufacture, e.g. in our own cord fabric production plant. A filling yarn made of Plast allows the uniform arrangement of the textile reinforcing material (warp yarns) in tires and thus ensures the best possible tire performance.
